The Origin of a Legacy

1918

It all begins in Ferreries, Menorca, in a small workshop for classical ballet shoes. A vocation is born: to create beauty through movement.

OUR ATELIER IN MENORCA

Each Mascaró design comes to life in our atelier in Menorca, where artisan tradition meets innovation to create unique footwear, crafted with passion and detail since 1918.

Since 1918

The artisans

Our artisans are the heart of our company: they master techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation. We invite you to meet them.

At Mascaró, each shoe is much more than a design: it's the result of the talent and dedication of expert hands. Our craftsmen, with decades of experience and a deep respect for the craft, are the true protagonists of our story.

They master techniques passed down from generation to generation, taking care of every detail with a precision that can only be achieved with passion and time.

Biel Febrer, 2011

With a steady gaze and expert hands, Biel embodies the precision and dedication that define each artisanal process. For over a decade, his craft has shaped our essence.

Ana Vidal, 1998

Ana has been transforming leather into art for over 25 years. Her mastery of the hammer and her constant smile reflect the pride of being part of something made with soul.

Nina Riera, 1994

Nina understands the thread that binds tradition, technique, and sensitivity. Her know-how, conveyed with care, is present in every stitch that passes through our shoes.

David Seguí, 2003

With youthful hands but deep experience, David represents the generational handover of our know-how. Each of his movements is precise, modern, and yet faithful to the tradition that has shaped him.

Josep Janer, 1980

Over four decades dedicated to excellence. Josep is the living history of Mascaró. His skill, his attentive gaze, and his love for detail are the best examples of what it means to be a craftsman.

Núria Ainsa, 2012

Núria is not just a part of our team, she is the heart that reminds us of what's important: working with joy, empathy, and affection. Her presence lights up the workshop.

From the moodboard to the last, every Mascaró shoe model is born at our headquarters in Menorca. Our design team transforms inspiration into unique sketches that set the trends for each season. We design women's shoes with style, comfort, and personality, paying attention to every detail from the first stroke.

#2

Selection of high-quality leather

The process of creating our handmade shoes in Menorca begins with a meticulous check of the leather. We only select premium quality materials, evaluating their texture, durability, and finish to ensure excellence in every pair. This phase guarantees that each model not only looks good, but also offers durability and comfort.

#3

Hand cut

At Mascaró, each pair of shoes begins with a hand-cut leather made by master craftsmen in our factory in Menorca. This traditional technique, which we have been perfecting for over 100 years, ensures precision and respect for the natural texture of each skin. We advocate for a manual process that keeps the essence of Spanish artisanal footwear alive.

#4

Handcrafted stitching

The process of hand-stitching is key in the construction of our shoes. The expert hands of our artisans assemble each piece with millimetric precision, ensuring that every seam provides strength, comfort, and beauty. This stage gives soul and structure to the shoe, merging tradition and excellence in each model.

#5

Molded and Assembled

In this crucial phase of handcrafted shoe manufacturing, our master craftsmen mold each shoe to the last with precision and expertise. Once the shoe acquires its perfect shape, the sole is hand-glued, ensuring durability, comfort, and quality.

Shoes made in Spain with passion and attention to detail.

#6

Final Review

Each pair of handcrafted shoes undergoes a rigorous final review, where the last adjustments are made: from manual polishing to the smallest finishes. This step ensures that the footwear reaches the customer with the highest standard of quality.

Perfection in every detail.
